Meet the team

Marie Balzer
Marie is a local Yeppoon Clinical Psychologist with experience working with individuals across the life span. She has a strong interest in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness based strategies and believes in the benefit of being authentically present for her clients. Marie will work closely with clients to help them understand and engage with their experience and difficulty, working from a strong evidenced based practice framework. Marie has experience working with range of presentations including trauma, bipolar and personality diagnosis.
 
Marie is the practice owner and principal Clinical Psychologist at Green Fields.  She has 10 years experience in Human Resources and 10 years as a psychologist. Marie has worked as a lecturer and is a skilled facilitator for group training and organisational development interventions.   Marie is an approved STAP supervisor and provides supervision to training Psychologist and Clinical Psychology Registrars

Kelly-Ann Burman

 

Kelly-Ann is a Clinical Psychologist with experience in a range of mental health and neurodevelopmental disorders including ADHD and autism spectrum disorder. Kelly-Ann has been educated in evidence-based psychological assessment, diagnosis and therapies. In treating young people and adults, Kelly-Ann uses an integrative treatment style suited to clients and families. Treatment approaches include cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and motivational interviewing.

Charlotte Simmons

Charlotte is a Licensed Psychologist with 24 years of experience across a wide range of clinical settings.  Charlotte has a passion for yoga, mindfulness meditation, eastern and western philosophy, ethics, theosophy and the integration of the mind, body and spirit.

Charlotte is a Board Approved Psychology Supervisor and has held leadership roles including Clinical Team Leader, Clinical Services Manager, , Clinical Developmental Lead, National Manager for AHPRA Board Approved Psychology Supervisors and Counselling Services Coordinator for Catholic Education, Rockhampton. Charlotte is experienced in a range of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy. She sees children from age 10, adolescents, adults and older adults.

Being  an authentic and compassionate therapist that encourages hope, self expression, and creativity are some key values that Charlotte brings to her work.

Nola Radel

Nola is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker. She completed a Master of Mental Health Psychotherapy in 2009. Nola has over 20 years' experience having worked at Child and Youth Mental Health for over 15 years as well as Community Health working in the Specialist Parenting Program for 18 months. Nola has run her own solo practice since 2007 and is now moving to join Green Fields Health and Performance Full Time. 

 

Nola Supports people to develop a better understanding of themselves and others by addressing difficulties and making changes in their lives. Nola has a special interest in working with families to resolve conflicts and in working with adolescents with mental health issues. You can be sure your needs will be addressed promptly with a safe, non-judgemental, confidential and respectful environment.

Tamara Wickham

Tamara is a registered psychologist who works with children, youth, adults, and families. With a compassionate and client-centred approach, Tamara integrates various therapeutic techniques to tailor individual support interventions across different life stages. Tamara's practice combines both traditional and creative therapeutic modalities. She is skilled in evidence-based approaches such as Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Narrative Therapy, which offer structured methods to address mental health challenges and promote emotional well-being. Alongside these, Tamara incorporates creative therapies for expression and healing in a safe and engaging environment. Through her work, Tamara is dedicated to creating a supportive space where clients feel understood and empowered to explore their feelings, thoughts, and behaviours. Her holistic approach aims to alleviate distress, build on strengths, enhance self-awareness, and develop coping strategies that lead to meaningful change and personal growth.

Julieta Lopez

Julieta is a Provisional Psychologist validating her degree in Australia. She is passionate about working with children and adults. Jules has experience with NDIS and she believes that talking about how we feel can be very healing. She utilises her training in CBT and psychoanalysis to work together with her clients and help them achieve their goals and deal with life challenges. Jules studied a Bachelor of Psychology in University of Buenos Aires and finished it in 2019. Jules completed a Master of Clinical Psychology at the Fernando Ulloa in 2021.

Adam Pratt

 

Meet Adam! Adam is a dedicated provisional psychologist with a strong background in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). Experience working with clients with emotional regulation, anger management, trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties, Adam provides compassionate and evidence-based support to clients across the lifespan. With a unique background in emergency services, he has a deep understanding of the challenges faced by first responders and those in high-stress professions. Adam is passionate about empowering clients to navigate life’s challenges, fostering resilience, and promoting overall mental well-being.

Emilia, Belinda and Liz

Our amazing admin team provide a range of supports to our clinical team and every client and their families.  They are the first friendly face you will see on arrival and the person who will likely be your first contact with the practice.  They are knowledgeable, dedicated and service orientated. 

Emilia is also trained as a Neurofeedback technician and supports Marie and Kelly-Ann in the applied practice of Neurofeedback.
